Eating Late At Night

There is a big difference between eating late at night when you are in your 20's as opposed to your 40's and above. Do you remember the first time you thought "well I'm 18 now I'm an adult and I like staying up late". So you went to the diner with your friends and ate very late, or should I say early, and talked about everything possible, then you went home and fell asleep until?? That was due to age, grow hormone synthesis and better liver, heart and kidney function. Now sleep studies reveal eating late does the following; increases weight, appetite, puts pressure on the liver, heart, lungs, kidneys, pancreas, increases cholesterol, raises blood pressure, thickens the blood, reduces oxygen, raises glucose, decreases the pain threshold, increases risk for osteopena/osteoporosis from excess urea or uric acid causing calcium loss. This will also cause tossing and turning, perspiration and a fight with all your pillows and covers. It does not result in sound sleep for you or your partner, and can become very lonely.
